Product lead for The Washington Post’s Site Product Team that oversaw the entire site functionality, new formats, web vitals, article experience, and live experience, such as the Olympics. Focused on growing WaPo’s readership and deepening engagement across the core reader experience portfolio. Worked directly with Ads, Analytics, Product Design, Engineering, QA, Newsroom Stakeholders, & Leadership.

Our front-end team built robust article layouts to promote the best storytelling. Those formats have included the expansion of WAPO's Centered Layout, for more visual storytelling, "Briefs" for quick easily digestible content such as 'The 7” and “Context Box”, "Lists" for organizing list oriented content, and the re-brand of "The Washington Post Magazine."

Engaged time on articles with a context box is 64 seconds vs. 40 seconds for the site overall.
Non-subscriber page views per user is 3.4 for those who view pages with a context box vs 2.2 for non-subscribers who don’t view articles with a context box.
This data suggests that readers respond well when we made efforts to promote transparency and trust by providing easily digestible content for storytelling & journalism.
