A personalized, one-stop shop for all Marriott International's Global Learning across 30 brands. This learning site serves as a central access point that enables professional and personal development for all associates. It's accessible in 19 languages with learning plans that present required, recommended, and opt-in learning opportunities.

This site has been crucial in enabling discovery of new skill-building and empowering Marriott associates to feel excited about there always being something new to learn. Robust reporting across functions, regions, and brands, viewable by region, property, team, and individual helps managers track and prioritize ongoing development for their teams.

Marriott Hotels Inventive Host hub

LEAD UX DESIGNER

Inventive Hosts is an optional program for Marriott Hotels launched in October 2019 in which they identify their best talent and endorse them as inventive hosts which includes providing them with exclusive learning and opportunities to put their stellar hosting experiences to work in critical moments/areas on property. In January 2020, Inventive Hosts were trained and deployed on each MH property in APAC. Implementation success helped the Continent team determine that this program would be mandatory for every MH property.

I worked with the MH brand team, brand talent team, and instructional design & content teams to identify product needs and develop a solution for MH hosts. I designed, created content translations processes, managed development implementation, and helped drive forward the product's success by organizational timelines and feature prioritization.

LEAD & CO-LEAD SR. CONTENT DEVELOPER

My role as the Lead Sr. Content Developer for the Shop & Book Product Team and the Co-Lead for the Loyalty Product Team shared a lot of similar responsibilities.

I was apart of designing content models for our CMS to support multi-channel platforms, writing user stories, authoring and publishing pages related to these teams, training content team members on the content operations team, and helping identify requirements for feature development. I was in this role from 2016 until early 2018.

MI Diversity and Inclusion takecare community hub

LEAD UX DESIGNER

My role as the sole lead UX Designer included working directly with the VP of Diversity and Inclusion & her team to execute on their vision of creating a one-stop shop to house all the resources, partnerships, and team building activities for all global associates. I led the design-thinking sessions around the product goals, designed the product, worked closely with development to create a content database model, and managed the development implementation. The TakeCare Community Hub offers managers team building activities, learning programs, and tools to support them in building an inclusive and engaged community at their locations.

Leadership accelerator

LEAD UX DESIGNER

The first ever digital nominations process designed & implemented for this employee leadership experience program.

My role as the sole lead designer included working with the Leadership Development Team closely to identify their mission with their nominations process. I led and created a digital experience for associates to be nominated as well as created a microsite to highlight the program details once registered for the specified leadership program. The Lead Developer and I worked closely to implement pre-populated profiles based on existing data and a digital nomination acceptance reporting process for senior leaders to cross communicate globally on which associates were accepted into the programs. I oversaw the client relationship and stakeholder needs along with the development implementation.

MI Innovation Days 2019 & 2018

LEAD EXPERIENCE DESIGNER, 2019

CO-LEAD EXPERIENCE DESIGNER, 2018

My role in 2018 was to co-lead the IDAYS microsite with my team member to create a more visually represented product as well as to create a better information architecture based on the associate's interaction with the site and their specific usage needs, for example, providing a seamless registration process. In 2019, I was given the opportunity to lead the design on the theme of "The New Now." Working with the lead visual designer, who created the branding & assets, I was able to structure the design based on previous knowledge and needs of our associates. I designed, coordinated & oversaw the development implementation, design reviews, and content strategy.

MI Global Operations go forward

LEAD UX DESIGNER + PRODUCT MANAGEMENT

My role included managing the site maintenance updates and new feature development. I worked with the global ops team to keep us on task and manage site update timelines. Before we created new feature timelines, I would also facilitate workshops with various global operations team members and their dedicated learning and development VP to prioritize the team's needs & microsite vision. We created a hub for all operations learning resources as well as an on boarding tool for new team members. The site is utilized as a social calendar of events and to highlight the culture as well as associate success stories within the Marriott operations community.

Marriott culture workshop

EVENT DESIGN, FACILITATION PREP, & PARTICIPANT

A 4 hour work session to creatively envision Marriott Culture in fresh ways. The objective of this work session was to develop ideas to support Marriott Culture storytelling in both the historical and future-focused lens (e.g. mobile, social, local) that resonates with global audiences. This was a direct request to the Experience Design team from Debbie Marriott Harrison. Before the workshop, I was a part of the event preparation by putting together inspirational vision boards based on the company's long-standing values and mission. We brainstormed in groups a number of concepts through design-thinking and then reported out amongst the larger group our ideas. In these exercises, we focused on primarily two questions: How might Marriott Culture show up to a global audience? How might Marriott Culture be expressed with a future lens?

Executive lounge tool

PRODUCT STRATEGY, INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE, VISUAL DESIGN, CONTENT UX WRITING

Executive Lounge Tool is a survey tool used to identify the state of different global Marriott executive lounges and surface best practices to each lounge. This was a huge combined team collaboration and effort within our Experience Design Team. I worked with the lead designer to help identify the initial information architecture and design wireframes. I also supported in the survey question writing and overall content strategy as well as final product testing.

BMSC Americas revenue management

LEAD UX DESIGNER + PRODUCT STRATEGY

This product was designed to be a one-stop shop for Marriott's Global Revenue Management team to help associates complete all necessary training and on-boarding materials during Starwood Integration. These materials included interactive checklists, videos, and other resources for the BMSC Americas Rev Management team. My role as the sole lead designer was to create a structured design for current and integrated Marriott associates to plan, learn, and understand the revenue management process at Marriott. I designed this product and worked with a project manager to oversee the development process since the product was on a tight timeline for integration needs.

My role included facilitating multiple rounds of ideation workshops around the future of work with the Organizational Capability team. Additionally, I coordinated with my experience design teammates on the overall event design to include a global audience and online engagement & inclusion.
